Payment Method
We use PayPal.com, the Amazon.com Honor System, and several shareware services to handle our donations.
PayPal is owned by ebay.com, and is the best service for sites like ours since they charge us a much smaller surcharge on small donations compared to the other companies, so we would prefer you use PayPal.
The shareware services charge us a much higher commission on your donations ($3 minimum). Amazon.com donations are completely anonymous and they don't notify us about donations automatically, so you have to send us your forum login info yourself. Choose the method that you feel most comfortable with.
International donators may find the shareware services best able to accept payment from outside the United States (read our special welcome for international visitors).
Alternatives
You may also mail us your donation or contact us to arrange an alternate method of donating. If you cannot afford to donate anything, send us a postcard or letter instead, and we will treat it as equivalent to a donation; if you are an artist, send us a painting or drawing.
Should you ever decide that you regret donating, just contact us for a refund.

What Happens After I Donate?
If you donate using PayPal you'll get an email immediately after you donate with a full non-expiring license key for all of our programs and a special activation code that you can use to upgrade your forum / site account to full lifetime supporting member status, giving you instant access to all features on our site. If you donate using one of the other methods, please allow us a day to activate your account manually.
How Much Should I Donate?
Choose an amount that is commensurate with your means, that leaves you thinking you are getting a fantastic deal for your money. You can be assured that no donation is too small to be meaningful to us. You can always donate more later. If you choose to donate using Amazon.com, you'll have to remember to click the "Send Info" button after you donate, or email us yourself with your Amazon.com "Order Summary ID#", in order for us to activate your membership, since Amazon.com donations are anonymous and we have no other way of knowing who the donation has come from; Amazon.com also takes a larger portion of your donation from us as a surcharge for using their service (and requires you to create an amazon.com account before you can donate), so we'd recommend and prefer that you used PayPal.com if you can. |
